We are thinking of starting in Denver and riding a motorbike to Yellowstone. Any ideas on best routes, what to see or do on the way please? We plan the trip for late Spring/Summer 2018. Thanks

How many days do you plan to take getting there? It is a very long one day if you don't stop. Throw a stop or two in and it is two days.

Yes we plan at least 2 if not 3 days so we can stop and see things and rest.

I would head for Grand Teton NP and spend the extra days there on the way to Yellowstone.

Use one of the mapping programs and put in the avoid highways option for routing. Do be aware that there can be long stretches without much in the way of services, so gas up when you get a chance, not when you're close to empty and have water and snacks with you always.

On our way from Denver to Yellowstone last summer, we spent a night in Thermopolis, Wyoming, which has some free hot springs pools and a nice park you might enjoy. It's not far from there to Yellowstone.
On another trip we spent a nice night in Lander, Wyoming. It all depends on the route you choose and how many miles you like to travel in a day, which I assume is fewer on a motorcycle than a car.

Good advice above on staying gassed up. Last year we found ourselves almost on empty in Chugwater, Wyoming, where the town's only gas station had burned down. Luckily a resident had gas and cans and we were able to get enough in the tank to make to the next station down the road.

If you should go from Denver to Salt Lake City and then north, DO take a look at going through Logan Canyon and past Bear Lake. On a trip west, I thought it was one of the most beautiful drives we had.

I'll add that going across Colorado i a lot more scenic than Wyoming.

I vote for Thermopolis. Love the geothermal features, river, and buffalo, and you can stay right at the edge of the state park. There's also a very cool dinosaur center there.
