Any ideas of what to do in Denver in Dec. with 2 teen age boys (very active in sports). Was planning on the Broncos but they are out of town Dec.28th weekend. We have sat. & sun open and depart on Monday. thanks john

Check to see if the Nuggets or Avalanche are at home for other options.

At that time of year, you are looking at mostly indoor activities in the Denver area -- museums, etc. The weather can be an issue. The Denver Zoo lights in the evening are nice. A carriage ride to see the lights on the city buildings is nice but pretty low key. Denver does a lot with outdoor lighting since it was invented here. They might enjoy the large REI store with an indoor climbing wall. Winter sports in the mountains is our major outdoor activity but that weekend will be super crowded.

This may sound crazy, depending on your boys... but the musical Jersey Boys will be in Denver in December. It's a show that men typically like, so if your boys are old enough they might appreciate it.
