Denver Clubs-Early 30's

My husband and I are heading to Downtown Denver this Saturday night to celebrate his birthday and although we only live about an hour North, we are unfamiliar with the clubs. We are early 30's but prefer to hang out with the 20-something crowds...however, looking for a dance club that is not all singles meat markety. Any suggestions?

Ani,

Even though I really can't think of a club for that age range that isn't a bit of a "meat market", here are a few of the clubs that might fit your bill:

1. The Alley Cat, 1222 Glenarm Place
Denver, CO 80204 303-571-4545. According to one reviewer, Alley Cat is "a real live slice-of-Miami nightlife right in the heart of Denver. With a velvet rope, a hush-hush alley entrance, VIP areas and world-class talent -- both live and DJ -- Alley Cat is a high-end club in an unlikely part of town."

2. The Church, 1160 Lincoln St. Denver, CO 80202 303-832-3528. Again, from a review, "From club kids to out-of-towners to suburbanites, The Church has something for everyone. Its unique decor makes this bar and dance club one of a kind. If you go in early, you can get a feel for the presence this renovated church once had. The high ceilings and low stairways give you an almost eerie sensation. Once the place fills up, its wide range of patrons can barely move. The Church has a techno/dance area on the main floor, then step up to the oyster/wine bar for conversation."

3. Butterfly Club: Don't know much about this one but it's fairly new, downtown and hot.

4. Sevilla at The Icehouse: downtown dance club with a Mediterranean flair and great tapas.

Hope this helps,

Strive

Thank you!!! Sevilla actually moved to the Pavilions--and is our main goal for the evening actually (we aren't salsa dancers but they have GREAT rum cocktails!)...I really appreciate your response!

Thanks CoSkier!...I also have to mention that my husband isn't very much into dancing unless he's 3 sheets or more! So I think watching the salsa peeps would be our best bet! Thanks for the reply.
