Deluxe Rent A Car?

Hi! My husband and I will be renting a car in Los Angeles for a weekend trip. I went to www.carrentals.com and saw great prices for Deluxe Rent A Car (which I believe is based in LA) Has anyone used this company? Any problems? Would you use them again? Please give me your feedback.

Thanks!

P.S. I also saw good rates for Advantage Car Rental and Fox Rent A Car - thoughts on these?

Never rented with Deluxe, but I have with both Advantage & Fox at other CA locations. Great rates, cars were just fine. Sometimes the locations are a bit remote, but not always.

I have used Fox Rent A Car in Orange County (SNA) and found them to be very reasonable and completely acceptable.

I used Fox very recently in San Diego (dropped off the car at LAX) and it was fine - least expensive by far, efficient (although it was a PT Cruiser, which I happen not to like)

We have used Fox Rent A Car a couple of times in LA and they were fine; the only downside is there is always a line when you arrive to pick up your car; I don't think they are appropriately staffed but otherwise haven't had a problem.

Well... I believe that knowlege is power. I also believe that the the best decisions are educated ones. Im empowering people to make their own intellegent decisions. I wish I had made an intellegent decision.

carrental.com only shows great reviews for Deluxe and the appear to rep everyone...If you yahoo "car, rental, los angeles" you will get "carrentals" and you will see Deluxe as the first cars and one of the best rates. If you goto deluxe's sit they look fantastic and make all these BS guarantees. Carrentals get a booking fee from it and that makes them a biased company.

If you go to www.deluxerentacar.info site you will see my experience with a company so bad that I am looking for others to form a class action suit and spending my money and time to do so.

There is a page called "other peoples complaints" that has links to independent sites with real reviews.

There is a page called "Better Business Bureau" that highlights their info and links to the actual review from the BBB.

If more people stood up for what they believe in, less people would get screwed....

An ax to grind... no... One big one to deliver... I intend to expose this company for what they are and when the dust settles, and the truth is unveiled, they will do better business or none at all.

I wish I had found "Me" before I found "Deluxe Rent-A-Car. I'd be asleep now... not emailing the editors of newspapers about this situation.

Take the info or leave it... but there it is
