DC Metro stop question

My wife and I will both be in DC during the same week, but for different conferences. She will be staying at the Radisson Barcelo Hotel at 2121 P Street, NW, and I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill at 400 New Jersey Avenue.

Does anyone know how far apart these areas are? Does anyone know what Metro stops are near these hotels and whether they are on the same or different lines?

Thanks for any help!

They are both on the Red Line. The Hyatt is near Union Station while the Barcelo is near Dupont Circle. There are probably 5 stops between the two stations, meaning less then 10 minutes.

Check out the interactive maps at http://www.washington.org/WCTCoffsite.cfm. You can add the metro lines and see the stations. It looks like you will both be on the red line. Your wife at the Dupont Circle station and you will be 4 or 5 stops away at either Union Station or Judiciary Square (your hotel is between these stations).

rideguide.wmata.com

provides (usually) DC address-to-address directions including the walking, bus, or subway portions, including times and costs.

Interesting situation. Make sure to head to your wife's hotel area for meals - much better restaurants and tons of choices.
