Please don't type in caps. It's considered rude on the internet.

Nordstrom is a nice department store but I don't know that the pub has the "best food" in Dallas. I find that a bit silly, in fact. I am, however, admittedly out of the loop on current Dallas restaurants since I escaped from that city 10 years ago. I'll let a Dallasite chime in for suggestions.

I do think you should visit Deep Ellum for live music, the McKinney Avenue area for fun shopping and some of the great Texas mexican restaurants for dinner.

Every Friday the Dallas Morning News publishes a section in their paper called 'The Guide' which provides in-depth information about restaurants, movies, bars, what's going on in town, etc. AND fortunately, you can access this info online!

The correct link for the Dallas Morning News Guide is www.guidelive.com.

The pub at Nordstrom's is neat if you happen to be in the Galleria mall, but if you are looking for nightlife, then I highly recommend Greenville Avenue or Deep Ellum. There are tons of great bars and clubs to check out and I'm sure you'll find one that suits you.

For the best restaurants, look along McKinney avenue near downtown, or in the Town of Addison just north of Dallas. Check them out in the Guide, too. Whatever cuisine you like, there are at least 3 places here that serve it! If you have never been to a Briazilian steakhouse, I highly recommend Texas de Brazil in Addison.

When will you be visiting Dallas? Be advised that it does get really hot here in the summer, so don't wear black, synthetic material clothes. Light-colored cotton is the way to go.

I like the Uptown/Oak Lawn area. Very upscale with a bunch of great restaurants and bars. One thing thats great about Dallas are the beautiful nights we have here. Try to find a patio. One of my favortie places is Martini Ranch at Cedar Springs and Fairmont. Another GREAT place is 8.0 in Sundance Square in Ft. Worth. Great patio with a band on weekend nights.

If your looking for more of a dance club, try Club Clearview in Deep Elm. Big patio as well. If your closer to North Dallas, Times Square at Arapaho and Tollway or Carlson's at Trinity Mills and The Tollway are the places to be.

The Green Room in Deep Elm is a great little restaurant with a big patio on the roof. Other great restuarant's: Star Canyon, Cuidad, The Mansion, Salve!, and Cafe Pacific.

Like the other posts said, go to guidelive.com. There is a like to the best 100 restuarants in Dallas that might help as well.
