Cruise packages from Anchorage
Are there day packages from Anchorage for the Kenai Fjords and Prince William Sound cruises (bus/rail+cruise)? I am planning to do that if available and do the leisurely stop-and-drive to Seward later. Please comment/criticise.

Your cruise comapany should have info.
Personally, if it were me, I would not cruise to Alaska. I would opt instead to drive, going to Valdez, Homer, Seward, and places along the Kenai Penninsula such as Exit Glacier and Portage Glacier. You can take a variety of day cruises out of Seward.
These are wonderful.

Are you returning from a cruise when you want to do this?
You can purchase rail tickets for that great trip, then take the boat trips out of Seward. Check http://www.akrr.com/ for more information. I would book them separately, and don't forget about toursaver.com

Egret and Bayougal,
I am not on a cruise ship. i will be flying into Anchorage. And was wondering if I can avoid driving so I can enjoy the scenery. To be more specific, I would like to know if it makes sense to do the trips in a day.
Garyloo, thanks for your reply and I will chekc those links.
