Crowds in Vegas?

Hi,
I am planning to be in Las Vegas from 1st to 7th May next year. Easter Sunday is 23rd April so I was wondering if my vacation would coincide with any spring breaks. Will it be very crowded in Las Vegas at that time? ie college people.
and families?
Also, are shops/businesses open on Easter Monday in California?
Thank you,
Vanessa.

You will probably miss the spring breaks. Las Vegas is not really a very popular spring break destination. As far as crowds go, it can be crowded at almost any time except the first 3 weeks of December. A lot depends on what conventions are in town at that time. Just plan on going and don't worry about it. Las Vegas is a great place to visit and have some fun. If crowds really bother you than skip Las Vegas. There should not be too many families there in May except on the weekends. Where you stay in Las Vegas will make a difference also. Some properties cater to families ( i.e. Circus Circus ) though this tend is changing at many of the properties. Other properties ( i.e. Bellagio ) are definitely not family friendly unless everybody is an adult.

We do not celebrate Easter Monday in the USA so all of the stores/businesses will be open as usual.

I can't imagine anything closing in Las Vegas for any holiday!! Check the discussion board at www.lvol.com for lots and lots of great information about LV.

Lori:

Check the original posting. The question is about shops/businesses being closed in California NOT Las Vegas.

I didn't mean to sound so harsh. No apology is necessary.
