Visiting Crater Lake on October 9 - 10,and spending night at Crater Lake Lodge. Any suggestions? Is there a chance of snow that early? If so, would the "north entrance" be closed?

I just got back from Crater Lake 2 weeks ago. The chances of snow in October are fairly high. It is very possible that the North Entrance will be closed as well as the Rim road. It is a hit and miss situation at that time of the year.

Hi, saw your message and thought I would try and answer. I go snowmobiling in that area, and I've never gone that early. the weather we are having right now is weird, so when October comes, anything is possiable. I would call the Lodge the day before you leave to find out the weather. Have a good trip.
