couple days for hubby and I....

Need somewhere/something fun to do for hubby and I for a couple days in Texas.....need some ideas....We are late 30's..don't like wine and museums...we are more beer and ballgames type of people...Also like stuff like piano bars, comedy clubs, but don't want to limit ideas to those...what are some fun things you like to do/places to go, etc with your significant other?

Have you considered Fort Worth?

It's close to the Ball Park in Arlington where you can catch a Ranger's game. If you'd rather skip seeing the Rangers you can catch a Fort Worth Cats' game at La Grange Field. There's plenty of night life at the Stockyards - go to Billy Bob's for your fix of Country music, beer and honky tonk.

Downtown Fort Worth has enough restaurants, comedy clubs, a piano bar or two, pubs and movie theaters to keep you busy for weeks, let alone a couple of days.

You can also spend your days at places like Six Flags, Water Parks, or boating on nearby lakes.

Check it out, Fort Worth may be just what the doctor ordered!

I would check out San Antonio; it's a great town for a weekend. You can find a lot of what you're looking for on the River Walk. We love Boudro's and their tableside guacamole and prickly pear margaritas; you could also take in a Spurs game if you can get tickets. Austin is great too; check out the bats, go to Mt. Bonnell, maybe head out to the Oasis for margaritas and great views of Lake Travis, or check out 6th Street. If you come in the summer, New Braunfels is really popular for tubing on the river, and you could check out the Grist Mill in Gruene - good live music at the dance hall there too. The Gruene Apple is a cute place to stay.

Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in downtown Fort Worth. FUN!! You'll sing yourselves hoarse!

Flying Saucer, also in downtown Fort Worth, or the Gingerman on Camp Bowie both have amazing beer selections.
