My husband and I will be going to Copper to ski in early April - any hotels you recom? like off the beaten path places. not nec in Copper...

Not sure what you mean by off the beaten path. There's Frisco, Silverthorn and Copper Mt. and nothing much in between. Two possibilities ( neither of which I consider off the beaten path) might work, The Swan Mt. Inn outside of Frisco on the way to Breck. and the Hotel Delaware in Leadville, but personally I'd stay at Copper Mt.

Unfortunately, the Swan Mountain Inn closed last year. That would have been my recommendation as well. I would also shoot for lodging in Copper or Frisco.

Going to the Copper Canyon, I thought it may be still snow there in April? Got scared for a moment

So I think that we are going to stay in Frisco - best places to stay. Hearing via word of mouth that the Woods is a mice place???

Please note I didn't mean to type that the Woods is a "MICE" place...a NICE place...just wanted to make that clear!
