Convention at The Wynn Report
Each summer the company I work for has it's annual user's conference in Las Vegas.
This year we had it at The Wynn. This hotel has THE BEST employees on the strip. And the beds can't be beat.
When you're working and want to be able to relax, this is the place. Few children. Easy to get to the meeting areas.
The food at the convention was unbelievable.
The breakfast was okay. It tasted good, but nothing extraordinary. The luncheons varied. We had a beautiful seated pasta dish with a tiramisu parfait dessert. One day it was a chinese buffet that was some of the best food I've ever had.
We ate at the Terrace Cafe for dinner by the pool. Not your typical designer Vegas restaurant. But "economical" choice of sandwhiches, appetizers and pastas.
We enjoyed the pool area the few times we got out. There is a quieter end and then there was the "Euro" pool with a few topless sunbathers and a few speedos. It wasn't really a big deal. It was very nice to enjoy a pina colada while sitting in the pool.
And if you like Monty Python and enjoy musicals, you HAVE TO see Spamalot. I have never laughed so hard in 90 minutes. We had 9th row orchestra seats, but our friends in the balcony said their seats were wonderful.
Don't miss this show.
The Fashion Show Mall is across the street. All my customers said the shopping was great. Maggiano's for dinner and Starbucks for coffee. The service at Maggiano's was wonderful. It's crowded and noisy, but fun. With a big group you order family style and it's a great way for a big group of "strangers" to enjoy a meal.

Le Reve is excellent! You'll have a wonderful time. The amazing staging alone is worth the admission. The performers are just so talented and beautiful. And it's a very comfortable theatre.
Although we did not eat at the SW Steakhouse, we ate at Daniel Baloud, also overlooking the waterfall "show." The dinner was great, the "show" is a bust. It runs about every 30 minutes, and is just ridiculously disjointed and, and well, kind of ugly. Enjoy the meal - don't worry about the waterfall!

I'm glad to hear you did, Tahiti! People must enjoy it for them to keep it.
There are 5 or 6 different programs; we did like the frog one (Wonderful World), but didn't care for the others. We saw at least one "show" on 3 different nights, and heard so many complaints of dissapointment from people around us. But as I said, certainly the company would change it if they were getting more complaints than compliments!
