condos on Bl and Kauai
We are looking to spend 2 weeks in July in Hawaii. we've been to the west side of the BI and enjoyed the lack of rain. How is Kauai. Are there any dryspots there. Any decent condo rental that can be recomended? (Kid friendly place)

The southern region of Kauai, the Poipu area, is sunny and dry, as opposed to the lush, green, wetter northern region. There are lots of good condos there -the Kiahuna Plantation Condos, Poipu Kai, etc. I believe Outrigger manages Kiahuna Plantation Condos now - you might check their website (outrigger.com). Best of luck!

Vivian,
We returned this week from Hawaii and stayed at the Nihi Kai Villas in Poipu. The unit was great and a short walk to the beach, there is a pool on the property. There were a lot of families staying there. Here is a link to the website that we reserved the condo through:

Piopu is on the drier side of the island, you may also want to look into rentals on the Coconut Coast. It is a little more built up with shops, stores, and restaurants than the Poipu area.

There are many reasonably-priced condo., cottage and villa rentals throughout Kauai which are listed on the official HCVB site:
