Gary,
Anything is possible I suppose, but $75 for beachfront in Maui may be difficult to come across. You might want to do a search on Maui condo's and perhaps concentrate on a "studio" instead, it is possible you could find something in that category - probably not in Kaanapoli or Wailea areas tho. Aside from Christmas there is really not much difference in prices on Maui. You might try renting from an owner directly but you may have to increase your budget for oceanfront. Off hand (and we have been to Maui about 14 times) I do not know of anyplace that would fall into that category, but we always stay in the Kaanapoli area. You might try looking in Kihei, it's usually less expensive there.

Gary,
We just returned from Maui 2 weeks ago and we stayed at a very nice condominium complex called Kauhale Makai, or Village By The Sea. We got an internet rate of $66.50 per night. That was for a one bed/one bath condo, but I guess there were some empty condos because we ended up staying in a two bed/two bath!! It was very nice - not luxurious, but clean and it had everything - full kitchen, two balconies, tv, phone, central air conditioning. It was wonderful! And the condo complex grounds were gorgeous. It is in Kihei. It is a beachfront property, but there is a grassy area about 100 yards wide between the beach and the condos. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach, however. Anyway, we found it on www.vacationspot.com. They have tons of property on Maui. I'm sure the rates will be a little (maybe a lot?) higher in March, as that is the high season. Good luck - hope this helps! P.S. Maui is incredible!!

Try going to rent by owner web sites. You can get the best deals there.
www.vrbo.com/vrbo or www.a1vacations.com
are a couple of good ones.
