Colorado Springs or Denver
My husband and I are planning a trip to Colorado in late November. Would this be too late to visit the Colorado Springs area? Or would we be better off to stay in the area of Denver? Never, been to Colorado before, and November is the only time this year we can vacation. Should be think about another spot to visit? We love scenery. Just went to Sedona and Grand Canyon last of April. What scenery. So beautiful.
Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

What are your interests? I've got to say, I live in Denver, and wouldn't find late November very much of a trip here. If you're really thinking of the mountains, then in late November it's the beginning of the ski season, depending on the snowfall, and none of the other winter sports will be available yet (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, etc.). The mountains are always beautiful to drive through, as long as there's no snowstorm. In the Springs, you could visit Garden of the Gods, and if the weather is good, maybe drive up Pikes Peak. However, if you like shopping, and that sort of stuff, Denver has everything that every medium-sized city does (just at a higher altitude, with mountains in the background).
You might consider Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico. I've visited there twice in November, and while the weather is cold there too, there are many restaurants, art galleries, historical sights & sites, to do & visit regardless of the outdoor temperature. The scenery there is beautiful, in the southwestern style.

Karen, yes if scenery you want go to the mountians. At that time of year lodging is much less. You can ski, hike, snowshoe. If you want more help e-mail me. [email protected]

While weather in Colorado in November can be iffy, it is usually better in the Springs than in Denver. There is a ridge between the two cities that tends to keep some of the winter weather to the north (Denver) so they get 50% more snow than the Springs.
We always find the Olympic Training Center in the Springs fascinating. You never know who you'll find in training there. The Air Force Academy is also interesting. Try to get to the Chapel, truly inspiring. Just outside the Chapel is a great spot for watching the lunch formation.
For scenery, the Springs has it all over Denver. Not that as a Springs resident I'm biased.
Weather permitting, the drive from Canon City to Salida along the Arkansas River is very scenic.
Hope that you have a GREAT trip where ever you decide.
