Colorado Ski Season

is nearly in full swing. Copper and Keystone opens Friday (Nov 2) and Breckenridge next weekend. Winter Park and Vail will not be far behind. Early season looks very good.

Got in a couple of runs Saturday at Keystone. Not as crowded as in years past but that one run was way to busy for me. Coverage was good. You have to down load on the Gondola though.
Rumor has it they will try for top to bottom skiing for this coming weekend. Need real snow.

With no snow in the forecast, I'm wondering what it might be like for Thanksgiving skiing. We didn't get much out of yesterday's storm, did we? Fmpden, how does it look? Our kids will be home and are dying to go skiing every single day of the holiday. Will it be worth it? They have season passes, but it's still a matter of gasoline and the drive.

That is a really good question. A quick ten inches would turn it around but number 2 son was at Vail this past weekend. You have to take the lift down at Keystone so it is not shaping up well. We intend to be in Breck on Tuesday. May have to come back for the CU/Nebraska game on Friday. At this time of year, any skiing is good skiing. Am starting the snow dance tomorrow on the patio.

Thanks, fmpden. Keep us posted, ok? I know my kids check the ski areas' sites almost daily!

fmpden - Just wondering where do you stay in Frisco? On vrbo there are a lot of options, are you familier with any of the complexes? Thinking for long weekends in January or February. Thanks, Betsy

There are a couple condo complexes half mile south of Main Street that we use. River something ??? . I have to look on the VRBO. Don't really pay much attention to the name as long as I can find it.
