Colonial Williamsburg

We are going to Williamsburg for 3 nights after Christmas and I am looking for a hotel that has a good fitness center (preferably with an elliptical trainer). Does anyone know which hotels would work for us? I have called a couple (Marriott, Hilton Gardens, and Sheraton) and they don't have one. The Holiday Inn Express has one on order but it won't be here by Christmas. I know it sounds like an odd requirement for a hotel but it's important to us!

Kingsmill resort will have one as well as an indoor pool. I travel with three athletes and believe me, the size and hours of the pool and fitness center come well before any other considerations...

Irene1,

The upper echelon CW properties (Inn, Providence Hall Wings and the Lodge) include access to the Tazewell Club Fitness Center. You can call CW for the specifics 757-229-1000.

Kings Mill Resort would be a good option except for the fact that it was closed in late October due to an infestation of black mold. It is due to reopen in the spring.

Another option might be King?s Creek Plantation or Homewood Suites.

If all else fails, the City of Wmburg has an excellent fitness center which I believe includes an elliptical trainer. Non residents can pay for admission.

Dear OBSESSED:
Most Americans, pigging out between Thanksgiving and New Year's, end up gaining only half a pound. That's the average.

Just go enjoy yourself for 3 days and forget about training. 3 days is not gonna turn you into a porker, even though the fitness companies would like you to think so.

Try Kingsmill. Not all the units are closed. Sometimes there is a wait for the ellipticals but its usually not long. There are quite a few treadmills and a lot of other equipment to use while waiting.

People who can't live without their email, their cell phone and their treadmill for a few days should JUST STAY HOME!
