Franky, how about golf in the area. Can you suggest any golf courses in the Cocoa - Melbourne area. Also, if you don't mind,,, I am booked at the Baymont Suites @ exit 73 I-95. What is it like around that exit. Can I walk to places or will I have to drive to eat and drink

I haven't been there for a few years, but Captain Dick's in Jetty Park, was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The sea food is absolutely fresh, they have their own boat catching it, and you can see them loading the sea food off the boat and into the kitchen. It has a great atmosphere and the appetizers will make it more difficult for you to finish your meal.

Hi Terry...Hopefully, these are still around...Coconuts on the Beach (fun), Castaways, Bernard's Surf, Oh Shucks for seafood, Tamarindo for Caribbean, Desperados for Mexican, Italian Courtyard...there's a restaurant in Rockledge (slightly south of Cocoa Beach) called Asheley's...I went there once...supposed to be haunted...food was good...anyway, when I went upstairs to use the ladies room all of a sudden it was freezing and I was there in August.

I don't golf, butlooked these up in the phone book for you: Baytree (an award winning semi-private golf facility, multi-award winning, minutes from Cocoa Beach 321-259-9060
Turtle Creek Golf Club 321-632-2520 (I have eaten at their restaurant, it was very good) Savannahs At Sykes Creek
(321-455-1377)
All of these are public courses and not too far from Cocoa Beach. As to the restaurants metioned in previous posts, some of them are no longer in business, but there are many good ones in the area. When you arrive tell the hotel staff what kind of cuisine you prefer, I am sure they can offer suggestions as there are many, many restaurants in the area.
