The hotel is waaaaay downtown - right off Wall Street. I paid $125 a night. The room was clean, on the smallish side, but I do not come to NYC to stay inside! There really aren't too many places to grab a bite close by. There is a Starbucks across the corner that actually had a nice seating area. You can walk to the Seaport from the hotel. So there are shops and restaurants to enjoy there. And since the Subway is so close, it is a quick jaunt Uptown or over to Brooklyn.

It is off of Wall Street between Wall and Broad Streets. There are any number of delis in the area in which you can get bagels, egg sandwiches, oatmeal, etc for breakfast. Many also have seating. There are also some larger chains, like Au Bon Pain, Dunkin' Donuts, or Starbucks where you can get breakfast. What is lacking is a good diner or nicer restaurant with waitress service for breakfast, although Vine at Broad and Exchange Pl now has breakfast.

For a something a little more interesting than your usual deli (and very close to Club Quarters on either Stone or Pearl Street right off William St.) is a place called Financier that serves fancy pastries, espesso, cappucino, etc.
