clothes for women

we've been to Orlando a few times now and never really found a nice store to buy women's clothes for bigger sizes. Is there some specialty store with young, colorful and not classic things? A bit sporty is fine as well. Doesn't need to be expensive, rather something in between.

One of the nicest malls in the area is the Mall at Millenia. Why don't you google it to get a store listing? They probably have something you may like, plus they have a Macy's, Nordstrom or Neiman (I forget which) and a Bloomingdale's.

Try Lane Bryant Catalog. They really have a good selection for the larger woman. Not what you would call "High Fashion" but good stylish comfortable clothes. Jeans, colorful tops, caftans, sweaters, jackets, you name it! If it's not in the latest catalog, there will be another one along in a couple of weeks

Chico's?! You must be kidding - their sizes don't even fit a 16, never mind "bigger" sizes!

Ahhhh, okay maybe that was a little harsh. Can you tell I'd like to shop there and can't? LOL!

There are two different websites for Lane Bryant. There a Lane Bryant, and then a Lane Bryant Catalog.

The Catalog has more bland, boring and some down right ugly clothes. But the Lane Bryant online store has more colorful, youthful and fun peices. You can find some great bargins on there is you just take the time to dig around. If you go into a Lane Bryant store there is always a sale rack in the back of the store with some great deals.

I also like Old Navy but not all Old Navy stores carry plus sizes but you can find a good size selection at the Old Navy online store.

As mentioned if you really mean "plus" Chicos does not go that big. MAYbe a regular size 14-16 is their largest, called size '3'.

Chico's now has sz 4, but not in all styles, not in all stores. Nicer than Walmart, not as upscale as Bloomies? How about Target?

Seriously, try the Avenue stores. They have NICE clothes that wear well and are quite stylish. I shop there very frequently! Their prices are reasonable, especially if you get on their mailing list and download coupons!

Target is OK for women's sizes, but not the best. They have a very limited selection, and they tend to have just casual wear and nothing else.

I may be wading into an awful kettle of fish here, but I believe the OP is visiting from Europe--Antwerp, isn't that right? And perhaps a European idea of a bigger size isn't as super sized as the American idea of a bigger size? A Chico's size 4 may be very big to a European, is all I'm saying.

True, we could be more helpful if we knew where this person was visiting in the U.S. and what size we are talking about

I've had good luck shopping the sales at Kohl's. There's one in Orlando. They frequently have 30 or 40% off sales. Much better quality and selection than Target. I would also look for a TJ Max or Marshall's which carries discounted clothes. Some aren't great quality but sometimes you find top quality/famous labels at a good discount.

hey, thanx for all the replies
yes, we visit from Europe and will be staying on I'l Drive. Haven't been to the Millenium Mall because i read it's more upscale shopping, not exactly my style. We were planning on going to Festival Bay for the first time, any suggestions? And we usually visit Florida Mall as well but tend to skip the outlet stores. I usually shop at Ulla Popken, a german brand with quite a nice selection of colorful clothes.
www.ullapopken.com. Any chance of finding that near I-Drive?
