Philadelphia (PHL) is probably your closest--and that's not close. Do a search on here on Cape May, for accommodations.

Both above posts are true - depends on your departure point, tolerance for changing planes, flying on mini-aircraft. Check out both arrival points, factor in driving time from either. Sometimes it is faster to fly someplace non-stop and drive a longer distance than to deal with connections to get you closer to ultimate destination.

It's not really up for debate--Atlantic City is about 45 miles from Cape May and Philly is about 95 miles. Jets fly into ACY.

Not that simple. I arbitrarily searched for a trip from Chicago to either Philadelphia or Atlantic City. (I have no idea from where original poster is departing, but I just picked a random city). If one were to fly from Chicago to Philadelphia one would arrive in Philadelphia 5 hours sooner than if one were to fly, leaving at the same time, into Atlantic City. For the latter, one would have to change planes in Cinncinnati - and then fly on a smaller regional jet onto Atlantic City. If that were my choice, I would choose Philadelphia. (fares were the same).

But that was just one search for one city - what I am trying to say is that it may depend on departure city as to which makes the most sense.

Cape May has an airport but I do not think its international. Check out the condo complex Seapointe Village. You will love it. Seapointe Village.com

Mickey, Spirit Airlines flies nonstop from Orlando to Atlantic city, $86 each way. Here's their website (I don't know much about them):

Personally I think it makes more sense to fly into AC, unless you want to spend some time visiting Philly. If you did that, it would take you about 2 hours to drive to Cape May. However you could probably find better deals if you flew Spirit Airlines to AC.
