Clickable Links

Is there any way to put a clickable link in a posting? I need to write a trip report on our recent trip to Spain, and I would like to include a link to our photo album.

Open the link, highlight the address, copy and paste in your post.

Not so far. We can only cut and paste our links into Fodors..although Fodors own links are clickable.

Right, that's what I figured. I have copied and pasted links, but they are not clickable. Hey Fodor's, get on the ball, willya?

Fodor's doesn't want you linking outside this site, for all sorts of reasons I suppose.

Well, Lonely Planet doesn't mind, why should Fodor's? People at TTT refer to Fodor's all the time.

You know, if you are in the neighborhood of other businesses you usually get the benefit of the traffic.

I know, that's why I asked about clickable links here.

How do we get the attention of Fodor's to enable something like that?

IMO, Fodor's is in many ways much better than LP's TT. On this forum, you can actually narrow your search down to a country or to a state, in the U.S. forum. On TT, it is a pain wading through all of the Europe posts when I am looking for something specific to Spain.

So, how do we get Fodor's attention?

Maybe they look for references to Lonely Planet and view the posts. If so, well, LONELY PLANET!

Mike, you can write to fodor's directly at [email protected] or you can try posting something on the new "news & announcements" board which seems to be a place for discussing these things with the participation of at least one member of fodor's management.

That's one of the ONLY things I liked about AOL..when you posted a link it automatically became clickable. So convenient.
