cleveland to niagara falls

Will we drive thru Amish country going from Cleveland to Niagara Falls? Should we take a detour to do this?

We drove directly from Cleveland to Toronto during the summer of '97. It took about 8 hours! At that time the PA or NY turnpike was under construction and the traffice was heavy. I thought the trip would never end. Once we got to Niagara Falls there was a big log jam trying to get across the border. But once in Canada the driving was fine. Good luck!

I'm interested in this area, so can you provide more detail? Thanks

You will not be going throuhg " amish country" going from Clevland to Niagra.
You will have to detour south in either Ohio or Pa. A good size detour depending on your schedule

Actually, Amish Country is only about an hour from Cleveland. Take I-77 south to Dover exit and take route 39 into Walnut Creek, Sugar Creek area. Lots of shops and "amish" stuff there. There are a lot faster ways to get there, but not being from the area this route is the easiest to describe to you.
