Cincinnati to ...... Where?
Five couples planned a getaway for November -Thursday through Monday. Plans have changed and we want another dstination other than Branson. Have been to Gattlinburg, The Biltmore, Churchill Downs, and Hilton Head. Criteria: can't be too far away if we drive, or if we fly, need cheap fares. Considering Vegas. What about Canada (Toronto), or what would you suggest. Thanks in advance for your input.

When I used to live in Cincy I took a trip to Toronto. We drove and stopped at Niagara Falls for a night. The Falls were amazing. And Toronto is a beautiful city (Peter Ustinov said Toronto was "New York run by the Swiss").
Unfortunately, November in Toronto may be a bit nippy. And I can't imagine what the winds would feel like at Niagara that time of year.
Since you were interested in Branson, maybe you'd like Memphis or Nashville - both big music cities. The Florida panhandle is gorgeous. The weather is a little iffy in November, but even if it's cool, the beach is great.
Good luck!

Since "go" mentioned Nashville and Memphis, I thought I'd throw this in: I travel extensively to the South, and while Memphis might normally be thought of as home to Graceland (and thus the "country" comment), it has a lot to offer. Beale Street, downtown, is the home of Memphis blues, and is fun place to visit. The architecture in the area is, to me, almost foreign--a lot of French influence. I was lucky enough to stay at the Peabody--a first-class hotel. I really enjoyed my stay there. And by the way: since you mentioned Vegas, just south of Memphis is Tunica, Mississippi, where there are casinos galore.
I've been to Nashville several times, and the downtown area is a lot of fun. It's touristy without being touristy, if that makes sense. There are some great restaurants and two interesting old hotels--one a converted train staion (Union Station, I think a Wyndham) and the Hermitage--a very old place recently refurbished. Outside of town, there is also "Hermitage"--Andrew Jackson's home; that place is beautiful.
Atlanta isn't bad either of course, but since you live in Cincy, why bother?
