Cincinnati to New york

We are driving from Cincinnati to New York for vacation. We would like to know if there would be any places in between to stay and visit. Places like tourist attractions or scenic places. Instead of driving at a stretch, we are planning to stay after a few hours of journey, visit placesand then proceed to New York. Please suggest places.

You do know that the drive from Cincinnati to NY is about 11 hours just on the road - so about 12 hours with bio breaks and a quick lunch stop?

Are you asking about things to see/do on top of that? If so you will likely be getting to town well after dark. What sort of things are you interested in - natural beauty? historic sight? Or?

Have you made arrangements with your hotel for parking your car - their own garage or a public one nearby?

We have made arrangements in New York. Now planning to start a day ahead. Travel for five or six hours and halt the first day night. Yes natural beauty or historic sight. Once place is confirmed will book for accommodation there

Pittsburgh is about halfway (4.5 to 5 hours) - you might want to stop there.

A bit further on (4 more hours) is the Harrisburg/Hershey/Lancaster area - you might enjoy visiting the Amish Country.

I'd advise doing the bulk of the driving on day 1. You'll need to be alert and relatively energetic when driving in NYC. If you can hack the drive to Hershey or beyond on day 1, do that.
