Cincinnati area casinos

Hi,
My dad will be 80 on Thanksgiving so we are meeting up with family in a central location, which appears to be Cincinnati. We want to stay 2 nights and see a show, maybe the Rockettes at US Bank Arena, do some shopping, and he loves gambling. Are there any casinos near the border that are convenient for 1/2 day maybe? He has been to Grand Victoria and enjoyed it but is that very close to downtown Cinci? Can you recommend any others in KY or IN?

Other than the Grand Victoria the only other casino in the area is Argosy casino which isn't far from Grand Victoria.

It's about 30 miles from Cinci to Argosy. Both of these casinos are in Indiana.

If you are staying in the Cinci area I believe the casino's offer a shuttle service; check out their websites.

There is actually one even a little further down the river in Indiana -- Belterra (I think there is still a Jeff Ruby Steakhouse there), but that would probably be a little far for a half day. Actually for a half day, Argosy would probably be your best bet.

Kentucky has horse racing, but I'm pretty sure they don't have casinos yet in the state -- definitely not around Cincinnati.

Turfway Park is right across the River (adjacent to the Airport). He'll likely have a much better time at the track than either of the casinos. The minimums tend to be kind of high there as well.

Thanks for all the helpful hints. I ordered a travel packet so maybe the maps will help. He doesn't really like the track, but thanks for the tip!
