Christmas Decorations/Weather

Just curious and hope someone can answer this for me. Is there neat Christmas decorations in Vegas? What's the weather? Are the pools open? We'll be there over New Year's. Kay

It's not really warm enough for outdoor swimming that time of year - at least not for me. When I used to go to LV all the time on business, the multiple pools at the Alexis Park were rarely if ever used Dec-Feb. It's not cold, but it's not hot - bring a sweater/jacket for sure. And some of the big hotels might super-heat their pools or have an indoor pool, which woudl be great. Lots of new stuff.

The Christmas decorations part I can't answer - but they must be there, there is so much new housing - expensive, big new housing, in LV, that someone must be doing the grandiose and amazing bit!

there are no heated indoor pools in Vegas that I know of. I had asked at the MGM if they were keeping any of their new pools open and at the time they were not sure.

The Flamingo Hilton has an area by their animal area (flamingos, fish, etc.) that they decorate into different scenes. Also, the lobbys of all the hotels are usually decorated.
