Chicago - Weather?

My sister and I are heading to Chicago tomorrow. We are wondering how the weather is? Do we dare bring sandals and warm weather clothing? I know this isn't exteremely important, but it would be great to know what to pack. Thanks!!

I'm not a local, but I have visited Chicago more times than I can remember-- and April is always pretty unpredictable. You might try www.weather.com. I just did, and the forecast looks kind of nice tomorrow and then deteriorates through the weekend.

Don't let it ruin things-- Chicago is an AWESOME town. Bring some rain gear just in case and enjoy!

According to the 6:00 pm news, it's supposed to be in the mid 60s with a chance of rain-not sandal weather but not too bad. Friday is supposed to be the nicest of the days-no rain.

Hi there -

Well, it's hard to say about the weather. Monday was a bright, sunny day, mid 60s. It was ridiculously cold and windy by about 10ish Monday night and quite cold yesterday (it even hailed a little). Today it was sunny, but still a bit nippy.

What to pack? Maybe bring a little everything...layers would be good.

Have fun!

Definitely bring a light to medium jacket--Even though it can get into the 60's during the day, sometimes it is around 40 early in the morning. When the sun goes down, it gets cold again quick! An umbrella will probably come in handy too this weekend, but you never know...
