Chicago Loop Parking - On the Street on Sunday?

We will be visiting Chicago this coming weekend. Before leaving town on Sunday we would like to have breakfast at Lou Mitchell's and do a bit of shopping in the State Street area of the loop.

Does anyone know if we will be able to find street parking on Sunday morning in this area, or do the spots fill up earlier in the weekend and stay full? I'd rather drive and park if possible as it's on the way out of town, but if parking will be a big hassle we'll cab it to and from breakfast and then drive home from there.

Thanks!

You can find parking if you are early on Sunday and you are willing to weave your way through the side streets looking for it. Your best bet is to go south of Randolph and west of State into the true "business" area where you aren't going to find too many people on a Sunday.

La Salle Street south of Madison is a good bet. You would be halfway between Mitchell's and Marshall Field's.

Thanks! I don't mind weaving as long as I'm not chasing a wild goose. I'll check out those areas while the rest of my party waits in line for breakfast. Oh my. I'm drooling now just thinking of it . . .

If you don't feel like hunting, many of the garges offer low rates on weekends in the south end of the loop, near Congress.
