Should have said, trying to decide whether to slow down & stay near Brookings, at the Chetco River Inn vs. moving on through and staying at the Gold Beach/Rogue River area TuTuTun Lodge for two nights. Coming from Ferndale. Heard there's lots of nice coastal scenery between Brookings & Gold Beach. Lodging info might help us figure out how to arrange our days, best. Appreciate it!

Thanks for passing that along! Glad to hear something, as no one recently seems to have been there. Liked the "four seasons type" desciption
of your coworker... ;-)
gives one a 'sense' of where's he's coming from/tastes, etc. Thanks again.

We've stayed at both. Remember CRI is WAY WAY WAY up the river from Brookings and partly on a rough dirt road. No electricity..she's off the grid. And forget it about going out to eat dinner...we thought we would but realized once we got there how isolated and long a trip it was to town. TuTuTun is extremely famous and rightly so. And not far from town or the ocean.
I definately would chose that one over the CRI.
