Cheese fondue in NYC?

Now that La fondue has closed down, does anyone know where to find a cheese fondue in NYC? I'm seeing Phantom this Saturday and would love a fondue for lunch!

Please write to me directly at [email protected]
Thanks!

Hi Marcia, I have two for you..The Drake Swissotel at 440 Park Ave & 56th st and the Roetlle AG..126 E 7th bet Ave A & 1st St. That one is supposed to make an fondue and to be one of the best German restaurants in the city.
Enjoy~

Roetelle is Swiss/German and is very good. For a slightly more expensive place, Artisanal is wonderful -- brand new restaurant, specializes in cheeses and cheese fondue. It's on Park Avenue South, so Roettele is a better location, I think. Have fun.

Hi Marcia,
Oh I second Artisanal. I loved my meal when I was last there and enjoyed my tastings of cheese. It's their speciality - you can order fondue I think as x persons. You can always go to Murray's for takeout if you want to nibble during the play. And bring some wine to the play. It will help you stay awake...

Oh, do go to Artisinal. I have been to both Roetelle AG and Artisinal, and Artisinal wins hands down. They have several different fonduse to choose from, made from different mixtures of cheeses, some incorporating treats like bacon... and it's a lovely bistro-style place, with an extensive wine list including almost anything you could think of available by the glass.
