Oh my, I started laughing out loud at the "Excellence through compromise" motto and can't wait to wend my way through the rest of the site. Somebody has toooo much time on their hands (thank God).

I've returned to browse through this extensive site. I love the message from the president. But I did notice a couple links to Alaska Airlines which are the only things real in the entire site. Is this somehow related to Alaska Air???

You know, Patrick, I think the whole site is a subtle ad for Alaska Airlines, but it's so damn funny I don't even care.

Challenge seating -- just brilliant!
Bench or cargo class?

Too funny! That letter from the president is classic..

"So when you complain about sharing a honey roasted legume, it sounds a lot like someone knocking the United States of America."

Sounds like a slogan for Bush's reelection campaign.

It is indeed produced by Alaska Airlines - the TV versions are equally hilarious - all the ticket agents play the banjo while hassling the pax.

Wong Doody, the Seattle ad agency used by Alaska Airlines, also does ad work for the LA Dodgers, Mervyn's, and MGM/Sony Home Entertainment. They are very talented people IMO.

Just think. There are some out there who'll think this is for real.

This is too funny. Great post. I'm going to put it on my favorites list just to pick up my spirits in times of trouble.

This is what I got when I posted this on another travel forum

"Its a joke flight site!

If you book a flight and read the tips at the bottom, you will see!"

Unbelievable!

I too loved the Gate Change Workout.

Thh whole site is very clever and very professionally done.

Reminds me of some of the old Stan Freeburg commercials....any one remember him?

Sure do remember Stan Freeburg -- you can sometimes find old tapes of his in large-inventory or second-hand stores.

Be sure to "track your bag" -- very funny.

Be sure to make a reservation. The list of departing and arriving airports is a scream, but wait til you see your itinerary. It's only the grain of truth in it all that makes it so damn funny.

The only thing lacking is that my nearest departing airport seems to be Rattlesnake, Florida, but the site doesn't offer any airport information. My proposed 37.5 hour flight with only four connections to Iowa sounds like a hoot, even if it will cost me a little over $4000.
