Charleston SC -Historic District - Inexpensive Restaurants

We are staying within the Historic District; can anyone recommend relatively inexpensive restaurants for breakfast and dinner??

Hopefully, within walking distance of Holiday Inn.

Thanks

There are several places along Meeting Street that serve b'fast - Diana's and I think Joseph's - that I would not expect to be considered expensive...also a bagel shop near the tobacco store just up from the bookstore on the corner....Sermet's on Wentworth is relatively inexpensive for dinner - get the sweet potato fries if they offer them...also Sticky Fingers on Meeting or Jim and Nick's (or Nick and Jim's) on King for BBQ. Or just order appetizers.

Our family really enjoys eating at Sticky Fingers and it's not too expensive.

Old Towne Tavern has excellent roast chicken. Very inexpensive.

My friend and I enjoyed Gaulart & Maliclet French Cafe, 98 Broad Street, Charleston, last year. It's a hole in the wall French place. We had two lunches w/ wine for less than $20.
