We liked Husk although its references to the local farms is a little precious. My wife considers their pork chop as setting the bar. It may be expensive for Charleston, but is less expensive than equivalent restaurants in SF.
This was the menu for the day we were there:

I'm SO glad the Ordinary is on this list. It is HOT for sure but the food is excellent. FOr those of you familiar with Charleston, it's in the old Bank of America building (the one with the high arched windows) on Upper King. The space is amazing, the entrance to the vault is the entrance to the kitchen and the food is exceptional. I had the lobster ceviche, Capers Blades on the half shell and black roux gumbo (I know, I know, gluttonous).
I've been to all the others except the Bun place. I can also say that Tristan is seriously good in a more continental style. The wine dinners are great values. It doesn't get mentioned as much as some others but it's worth a visit.
I've been to Husk several times. I liked it fine. I like McCrady's better and really, isn't it too old to be hot? FIG is so much better. I dream about that pate. And Sir Paul.
If anybody's interested, I also enjoyed Stars Grill Room also on Upper King. As the weather improves that rooftop will be just right.

As I've posted, our very foodie kids did Husk last summer and were very underwhelmed. Love the "Emperor's new clothes" reference. As everyone knows, a restaruant of any quality can have an off night, but I think this train has left the station, and may just squirm by on past rep.
