Chambersburg, PA

Has anyone stayed at either the Country Inns and Suites or Hampton Inn in Chambersbur, PA. ?

We are going to Green Castle Pa and need a decent room for 2 nights. I heard the only motel in Greencastle is a dive.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you..

Daughter and SIL have stayed at Hampton Inn more than once. No complaints. Typical.

Both have easy access to I-81.

I have stayed at Country Inn several times and would recommend it. Its very new, and you get fresh baked cookies in the afternoon.

Hampton Inn is dated and I believe its undergoing renovation now which could be noisy.

Thank you both. There is a hotel in Greencastle but I was told it was a truck stop and girls of the night hang out there. It looked nice on line, but I never trust that.

Just looking for a clean place to hang our head at night.

Sorry, no suggestions, and I knew what you meant, but that line made me spit coffee on my monitor...;~)

Either way I want it to be clean

Now someone told me I could get a great rate (stay 2 get third night free at Country Inn in Hagerstown, MD. I was also told the distance between Hagerstown Md, and Chamberburg, Pa to Greencastle Pa is the same.

Anyone have any opinion on this???

Your distance thing is about right. Be careful of motel locations in Hagerstown, though. You've got an I-81/I-70 interchange there....

Didn't know that about Greencastle! I used to work in Hagerstown and live in Chambersburg years ago--must have sprung up after my time in the region....
