2 days would be good, one day at the Park and another day at Soak City. They have expanded Soak City this year so it's pretty good. Wheelchairs can be rented for $10 a day. Another option besides Cedar Point is spend a couple of days in Cleveland..Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Science Museum, Art Museum or spend a day at one of the Lake Erie Islands.

We spent one day there in early June several years ago. It wasn't crowded at all and we saw everything we wanted to see in a day. I don't think the water park was open yet. We had a great time... it ranks high on our list of all time favorite amusement parks.

We are a family of four and just went to Cedar Point in early July. We were there on a Friday (July 2nd, I think) and the park was not crowded. Max wait was probably 10 minutes for the top rides. We got there when the park opened and were ready to leave by 5 p.m. We had a great time and the kids rode every ride (some more than once). We didn't do the water park, so you may need an extra day to fit that in, but the main park can easily be done in one day.

You could spend 1 1/2 days in the Park by downloading 2-for-1 Starlight tickets from www.cedarpoint.com. I think it's $24.95 for 2 admissions after 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Go to Soak City earlier in the day, spend the evening in CP, and spend the whole next day there.

When my kids were amusement park aged, we used to sail up to Cedar Point and dock for a week and buy season passes, which cost about as much as three individual day passes. It was nice because the kids could go into the park, while my wife and I could rest on the boat. One thing I did note was that some days were exceptionally crowded, and some were almost deserted, and there didn't seem to be a pattern to it; even some weekend days were not crowded. Since we were staying on site, we had the benefit of being there after most of the crowds had left, which I would say was about 5 or 6. Lines were always much shorter after dinner.
I'm not sure about the idea of doing an amusement park, as one does a museum. I guess it would mean riding every ride, but not every ride is suited to every age, so my kids would usually concentrate on a few rides that fit them, but would often ride those rides many times.
