Are you referring to the Flying Fish Grill, located at the Plaza? We love that place! My husband took me there when we were dating and our last trip to Carmel, it was a tough decision between this place and Roy's.
Since DD was with us, we chose Roy's so she would have an opportunity to hear the bagpiper play. She loved the food and the bagpiper and commented that she would like to stay at this property on her honeymoon! I hope she marries a golfer, LOL! ***kim***

Kimamom,
Yes. The Flying Fish Grill. We ate there on our first trip to Carmel 11 years ago and again last October. I think it was even better the second time. I was actually surprised it was still there, the way restaurants come and go.
Loved Roy's too. But nothing compares to the view at Sierra Mar!

Hi Kim! Me too, I am always drawn to the ocean, but I must say, the Carmel Valley is 'Another World' yet only minutes on up the road. The topography is rugged, steep and beautiful and the properties so lovely. I hope to learn more about that area this year. Just too hot when I was there. Bernardus is extremely casual lodge enviroment compaired to Quail's golf ettiquette and quiet. They have a fascinating large garden often the setting for weddings. Loved my room, but had to interupt to end my wine wait to be taken there. Finally in my air conditioned space, I was extremely happy! Hope someone will offer tips for fun in the Carmel Valley.
Did you experence Seascape yet?

No, I haven't been there yet. Business almost took me there last summer and we were considering a stay there, but probably won't be in the Santa Cruz area for awhile. I much prefer Carmel/PG/Monterey area to Santa Cruz. ***kim***
