Carmel/Monterey

We are staying at Carmel Valley Ranch for the Thanksgiving week. Any suggestions for Thanksgiving Dinner for 4 adults in the greater Monterey/Carmel area?

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Stokes Adobe in downtown Monterey a few years ago and it was excellent. It is in a restored adobe near the older part of town.

Grazings in "downtown" Carmel is fantastic. They do a great Thanksgiving dinner. Might see you there! Have a good time.

That's Grasings! It is supposedly very good, owned by Kurt Grasings. He also has Kurt's Chop House in Carmel.

We really liked Casanova for lunch and were supposed to try Bouchee, but had a dead car battery! I'm sure they would have a first-class meal if they are indeed open on the holiday. ***kim***

You beat me to it, Kimamom! I was just about to post a correction to my spelling!

I always see it in my mind with a "z" instead of an "s."

Well, regardless of how it is spelled, it is a fantastic restaurant, any time of year!

Cassanova is excellent, too.

We looked into a few places last year for Thanksgiving in Carmel and after looking at Highlands end Pacific Edge and some in town spots we choose Roy's at Pebble Beach.

They had a few "traditional" menu items to go along with their normal pacific rim menu.

I've dined at Pacific's Edge & Roy's, both are excellent. The bagpiper that plays at sunset is a very nice touch at Roy's. ***kim***

Thank you all for the suggestions. We've been to Roy's at Pebble Beach, Roy's in Philadelphia and Roy's in Orlando and have NEVER been disappointed. I have heard of Pacific Edge and would like to try it also. Grasing's sounds like an interesting choice for T-day. They will all be added to my list since we will be there for the week!

www.grasings.com is the website. You will love Pacific's Edge. The view is as outstanding as the food. A true pampering experience. ***kim***
