Car Rental - San Francisco

Hi,

Would like to know is there anyone can share their experience with this company for car rental - Economy Car Rental? Their price are low as compare with the others. Wondering is it too good to be true? Thanks

No experience with that company. Are you going out of SF?
The city has good public transport. Rent downtown for lower rates. I had a bad experience many years ago with an airport rental from SFO.
Bid on Priceline the same or a dollar less per day and you may get a better company.

On another thread you mentioned you are picking up the car in Las Vegas and returning to San Francisco. Is that still true? Which prices are you saying are comparatively low -- one ways from Las Vegas?

How much lower are they? Have you tried any codes with the bigger agencies?

By the way, if you're seriously considering renting from Economy, you might want to read this. I'm never too sure about second hand reviews, but these are kind of frightening and sound too REAL to be fake.

Thanks for the reply...

NeoPatrick, that was the initial plan... now plan to rent it at sfo & return it at the same place 1 week later. Sound frightening after read the review that you posted.

YvettePlanner, thanks for the reply. Btw, the email that you gave, what company is your friend work with? thanks.

Check the rates at Thrifty.com, now owned by Hertz. On the website, "city special" rates pop up that are lower than what kayak or expedia etc will pull up. Once in a while quite a bit lower, like half.

janisj, too funny. I forget that the moderators remove spam but don't always edit other related comments. I've asked for my comment to be removed. What scary spam THAT was!
