Cape Cod: requesting info. on September weather & the Penguins Seagrill in Hyannis
Hi, I tried doing a search before posting this message but I didn't come up with anything.
I have a trip planned to Cape Cod for the last week in September, I'm from Florida and am not to sure on what to expect from the weather. I'm sure that I'll probably need a jacket at night, but what about daytime? Long or short sleeves, capris or long pants, etc.
My second request concerns the Penguins Seagrill in Hyannis. Sounds good but would appreciate hearing personel experiences in what the ambiance was like and if the food and service was good.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

I cannot help you with the restaurant, but by helping you with your weather question, I am also putting your question at the top of the list (hopefully that will help get another response).
The weather in late Sept can be a mixed bag. Plan on day temps anywhere from low 60s to low 80s; evening temps from mid 50s to low 60s. A light waterproof jacket is preferred (and/or umbrella), as we get the residual effects of the hurricanes that have either just pounded your home state or the Carolinas.
Have a great visit.

Writing to you from the Cape this morning - Labor Day weekend....and the temperature is about 50 degrees (5 AM). Plan on a mixed bag in late September but be sure to bring a heavy sweater just in case.....it could be in the high 40's or low 50's at night. I can almost bet you'd be cold in capri pants most days. I have heard that Penguins is very good but have not been there. Enjoy our lovely Cape !

Thanks, Christine. Appreciate hearing a female perspective, especially about wearing capris. I haven't been up north since I was very young and have been concerned about what the weather "feels like" as opposed to actual tempuratures. Down here in Florida most times I can wear shorts in the middle of our "winter". Once again, thanks.
