Cape Cod questions
Hi,
Visiting Cape Cod with my grown daughter for a few days at the end of June. I have been before but it’s been a long time.
I would so appreciate ideas of best town to stay in and a few recommendations of places to stay.
Would prefer a walkable town with a nice beach, cute shops and great seafood. Enjoyed Provincetown but worried it will be too loud and crowded. Thank you in advance

Be sure to walk or bike on the famous Cape Cod Rail Trail. Frommer's says this about Chatham:
- Chatham: Only Provincetown offers better strolling-and-shopping options, and Chatham's are G-rated. This is perhaps the Cape's quaintest town. In summer Friday-night band concerts draw multigenerational crowds by the thousands. For a fun natural-history lesson, take a boat ride to see the hordes of seals on uninhabited Monomoy Island.

If you are planning a visit for next month, you may be limited to wherever lodging is available. We booked our preferred cottage for the annual end-of-summer week on the Cape in January of each year.
If you are lucky with lodging, Chatham would best fit your request.

Chatham meets your requirements. The Chatham Bars Inn Grill has just been named the best waterfront restaurant in the US by USA Today. It's a pricey town. A quickier choice would be Wellfleet. Lots of galleries and good restaurants and a very walkable town. To me it is the classic Cape Cod village. Mac's Shack in Wellfleet is a terrific restaurant and has classic seafood and great sushi. The Beachcomber is the only bar/restaurant directly on the Atlantic side and a great spot. Also, it's my experience that the end of June, before July 4th weekend, is not that booked up. Kids are just getting out of school and the weather can be iffy.
