cape cod or nearby for summer rental

I am looking to rent a house for 2 weeks this summer (middle of August). My husband needs to be able to commute to Boston every day....any suggestions? Ideally an hours drive more or less would be ideal. He would leave at 5:30 or 6 am, so traffic shouldn't be too bad. We can go anywhere.....Cape, North or South of Boston, RI, even NH or So. Maine. I have 2 teenagers and a 9 year old....which is why I thought the Cape might be good. Any suggestions?

Our family loves the Chatham area on the Cape. Mid-Cape area, good beaches, not too far out (wouldn't go any further)for your husband's commute. Lots of online sites for vacation rentals. Many good rentals are booked by this time, but not sure this year.....

I seriously question how possible it is to get to Boston from Chatham in anywhere near an hour.....I think you would have to be on the upper Cape and even then it would be close in the am, probably impossible in the pm. Where in Boston? There is a commuter rail that comes in from some of the North shore seacoast towns like Marblehead, Rockport and Manchester-by-the Sea

Chatham is way too far. I think Plymouth is the furthest south I'd want to go. Socialworker's recommendation of the North Shore towns would work. Another option might be Rye Beach NH.

Sandwich or Bourne on Cape Cod would put you about 1 hour from Boston. You might also consider Marion or Mattapoisett, both on the mainland on Buzards Bay. Definitely NOT Chatham.
