Cape Cod Honeymoon

Hello - We are planning an October honeymoon on Cape Cod. We would like to visit Salem, Boston and Newport also. Is this possible or will it be too much traveling? Which Hotels on the Cape are best for honeymooners? Price does not matter but no bed and breakfasts!

Thanks

How long are you planning on spending on your honeymoon? That might help in determining how many places to take in.

Cape Cod is a long penninsula and depending on where you stay day trips will be made more/less difficult.

Chatham Bars Inn, in Chatham, is very nice and the town is as well but it is probably 2 hours from Boston, 2.5 Hours from Salem and 1.5 Hours from Newport. (during non traffic hours)

Another nice place is Daniel Webster Inn in Sandwich. Its in the center of Sandwich which is very quaint. Sandwich is near the canal/mainland so travelling to these places would probably be 45 minutes less for each. I commute from Sandwich to 9 miles south of Boston everyday and it takes around 50 minutes during non-traffic hours.
Always a tradeoff...

I'd recommend the Wequassett Inn near Chatham. It's not an "inn," but more of a lux resort on the water. They actually host a lot of weddings and such. Salem and Boston are just 25 minutes apart, so no problem there, but it wouldn't be an easy commute from the Cape for a day trip. Same with Newport, but I'm guessing you'd see that on your way to or from the Cape.

You can't go wrong with either Wequassett or Chatham Bars Inn. Chatham Bars is more "old-world" and a little more formal. Both are great.
