Cape Cod--a nice, resorty beach hotel--Please help me find one!

I am looking for a nice, resorty beach hotel/resort in Cape Cod. Please help, as I know nothing about the region. I do not want a bed and breakfast, or a quaint inn that is not on the water. Help!!

Try the Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham. Beautiful, shingle style resort on the water and GREAT location in Chatham. They have a website. If you can't get a room there (they are always booked), try Ocean Edge in Brewster, Wequassett Inn (Chatham) or the Lighthouse Inn in Dennis. The Chatham Bars is worth the effort and expense though, IMO!

I'd vote for Chatham as well, but would put the Wequasset ahead of Chatham Bars. They are called "inns," but a more restort/hotel

I would also suggest Chatham Bars Inn ( my number one choice-expensive yet very nice and very resorty!), Ocean Edge in Brewster (specify a room on the ocean though) and Wequasset are all very nice. Try to stick to Lower Cape- Chatham, Harwiches, Brewster. Let me know if you need restaurant ideas. We went to the Cape Sea Grille in Harwichport last weekend and it was wonderful- menu can be seen at www.seagrille.com- we made reservations several weeks in advance. If you are going in the fall the weather is wonderful and the Cape is less crowded- good luck!
