Can u use Delta Skymiles to rent a car?

I have been looking all over the Delta website to see if we can use some of our skymiles to get a retal car in Maui next spring. I don't know if this is possible or not...does anyone else out there know?

Nope. Only earn miles from rental car, not spending miles. True for most FF programs.

The reason why I asked, is there is a disclaimer at the bottom of most rental car websites that say they will charge an additional $1.00/day fee if frequent flyer miles are used. Maybe this relates to the "good old days" of frequent flyer miles.

The charge is for earning FF miles, not using them.

Yes you can use Sky Miles for Flights, Hotels, Brodway Tickets, Magazines, or Car Rentals. You can use this link.
