Can anybody explain the appeal of Branson, MO, to me?
All I hear about is country-and-western music...Branson and/or Opryland...and those awful clothes the players wear. My relatives came back from Branson and talked about a spectacular (I am NOT kidding) toilet at some place run by a Japanese fellow. Wow! Has American culture really sunk that low? What is the appeal of such places?

I am NOT a country-western fan and, quite frankly, did not consider my trip to Branson all that enjoyable. However, I do NOT feel culturally superior to those who enjoy this form of entertainment; figuring it's all a matter of personal taste. Those who enjoy it, will find plenty of it at Branson (but not at Opryland -- you must be ignorant of the fact it no longer has music shows); those whose taste is different, may well not enjoy it.
