Just one simple question new to this board and have read to the top what does this mean? I am a mother of two bottle feed children but to each his own don't think I would feel comfortable breastfeeding in public but that is just my thoughts. thanks.

Not to stray off topic but on my last flight from SJU to IAD, I saw a couple change their baby's diaper (He'd done number 2) on two fold down tray tables. Not only was the smell toxic, but the flight attendant had to come and toss the dirty diaper and the wipes. I mean, where do we draw the line when it comes to things like this? To make things worse, dinner was served about 10 minutes after.

How about this one! There is a woman on my floor here at work and she sits in the bathroom pumping here breasts! Both at the same time. Even though I'm a woman I don't care to see that. I find it hard to believe that her office doesn't have a conference room where she can have some privacy herself...

Just one Nugget of Joy at having children close in age:
Recently, Jack (age 4 1/2) asked for an ice cream cone. Hannah (age 3) asks for one, too. I fixed the both of them a cone. They sat together, licking the cones, enjoying their friendship. Within five minutes, they got bored with the cones, dropped them, and went off to play together. Our kids are very happy in each other's company. Glad to have three and hope to have many more to come.

Melissa, I too would be horrified to see a woman pumping breastmilk in the work bathroom, but not for the reasons you mentioned. What a horrible place to have to spend 15 or so minutes every four hours, and what dedication that woman must have to do it! Fortunately, my company was flexible and gave me miniblinds for my office so I can pump while working. Too bad every company isn't so understanding (and every coworker too.....)

Melissa: When I was pumping at work, I had my own office and a refrigirator in the kitchen, but part of my job was out of my office. I pumped in the bathrooms of a courthouse and a law office. However, my particular favorite was in my car at a rest stop on the highway. I was parked near several huge trucks and I'm sure the drivers could see into the car. (No, I did not park there on purpose. There was nowhere else.) If anyone thinks I went through all this because I'm insensitive or an exibitionist, they're nuts. I did it because my baby's health comes first. Everything else is unimportant.

My wife's breastfeeding problems were even worse than Monica's and another's. Our first born had open-heart surgery at 11 days and was hospitalized at 5 days thru about 30 days. While our boy was lying in the Hopkins pic-u, wife had to breastfeed in spare rooms at the hospital under severe emotional duress. She's quite a lady and certainly my better half.

gt; ... Ciao
