California Central Coast September GTG - Will You Come?

As promised, I'm starting this new thread on a proposed GTG around Paso Robles, Calfornia on the weekend of September 29th.

We'll probably meet somewhere for lunch or we may meet at Justin Winery. We'll winetaste a bit, eat a bit, and talk a lot!

Personally, the 30th, Sunday would work better for me, but I'm flexible to meet on the 29th if that would be more convenient for most.

Would someone on the Central Coast like to take over the restaurant selection and the winetasting route? Not being a local, it'll be kinda beyond my limited skills.

Please kindly respond to this thread or email me at [email protected].

Hey say! This is going to be fun!

Let the good times roll!

Hi easytraveler! Saturday would work better for me as we aren't planning to stay late in Paso on Sunday. Grandma will be anxious for us to get back so she can be relieved of the babysitting. I hope Sat. would work ok for you. Let me know what the response is from others. If I am the only one who prefers Sat., I will try to make something work or join just for a short while. Thanks! Looking forward to it!!

I'll keep checking and see how things work out...

I would love to come up and meet you guys but I will be in the Sacramento area on Sep 27 and 28. I will be flying so don't see how I could work this in. If there is any way I could do it, it would have to be Saturday.

so far, two for Saturday, and one for Sunday.

moneygirl: can you make breakfast or dinner on Saturday? Or is the entire day not OK?

laurenzo: same question: Would you be able to make breakfast or lunch on Sunday?

Paula: where are you going to be? Maybe we could share a ride somehow?

(See! told ya! Arranging a GTG is like herding cats! Everyone is headed in a different direction! )

easytraveler-I am flying to the Sacramento area on Thursday morning the 27th and have planned to fly home sometime Friday the 28th. I will have a rental car in Sacramento. I have events to attend so my schedule for those days is not flexible. It would be too difficult for me to get to Paso Robles considering my time schedule. Hopefully next time.

I'm so sorry that I can't be more flecxible.. I have a conference in Santa Barara on Friday and Saturday AND a committment on Saurday night. IIt's a the Bacara Resort, so I may have to actually post a teeny, 24-hour trip report!)

You'll have a wonderful time either way!

The last weekend of Septemer, I am in class now without a calendar, driving in on Friday night, going home Sunday evening. The youngster is driving.

This time we'll be staying in a motel far away from casinos. Gonna be interesting

ET-September is pretty booked for me and October is looking pretty busy. I may have to put this trip off for awhile.

Hi, Paula!

So sorry you will not be able to make it this GTG. But the wineries will still be there! We could try next time with a longer planning period!

moneygirl: I could shuffle things around and do it the weekend of the 22nd as well.

laurenzo: how about for you?

We don't HAVE to meet in Paso. It could be a more convenient location for all.

Faina: win lot of money in South Tahoe!

Let's wait until Laurenzo checks back... it won't hurt my feelings if you stick with your plans for the last weekend. If it works out for all three of us on the earlier date, then that's fine too. Whatever works best for you easytraveler... Laurenzo and I love here and we can get together anytime! LOL! I'll let her tell you about our last GTG here where we figured out we had a good friend in common about 15 minutes into dinner! It's a small world after all!!
