I think it is too cold in April - probably will be in the lower 60's

I ALWAYS pack a bathing suit no matter what. You never know if you feel like jumping in a hot tub, or if there is freaky warm weather. Sometimes there are storms far, far away that bring in warm water. I've swam in the ocean all times of the year. Summer can sometimes have the chilliest water!

SloPugs, that's a fact. We've been swimming in the ocean in January in southern California when it was 85 degrees outside. April might be cool, but it might be warm. Best to just throw the swimsuit in the suitcase.

As a kid you couldn't get me out of the frigid Pacific ocean. Now, as an adult I'm happy to wade in up to my knees. It does cool you off on a hot summer (or winter!) day!
