Bypass around Austin completed

For those Texas travelers that need to get through Austin, but don't like the I-35 traffic downtown, you now have another option. The SH 130/45 bypass has now been completed. I have driven this and it is awesome. It is a brand new highway with barely any traffic and the scenery is fantastic with rolling hills and best of all, no billboards.

So, if you're going from DFW to San Antonio or vice versa, you now can totally bypass Austin and cut some of the traffic off I-35 for us Austinites!

Yay!!!!!!! We've been taking it although the connection to I-35 wasn't done on the south. Even got a toll tag for it. Now it joins up with I-35 on the south too??? That will be heaven.

By the way, 130 is heaven compared to the snarly, congested mess that I-35 always is. There is practically no traffic on it. Even with the south end not connected, it was well worth the cost to just sail through that segment of our trip.
